Well, I'm gearing up for quite the adventure over the next two months.
If you know me well, you know that my two solo CD's were both funded with the help of nearly 200 people from all around the world and I am diving headfirst into a campaign starting THIS FRIDAY, for The W Lovers first studio recorded album.
We have played nearly 200 shows since January 2014 but we don't have a CD recorded!!
We've had plenty of time to write a bunch of songs (certainly my best work to date) and layer them up with lush harmonies for our live shows but it always feels a bit strange selling a Fleur Jack 'Tales from the Dodge' CD, when firstly, I'm not even 'Fleur Jack' anymore and secondly, it's not the 'Fleur Jack band' either. The W Lovers is SO MUCH MORE and I'm truly excited to get these songs recorded.
Cowriting these songs with Wesley has been an amazing experience, we have spent the best part of the last year and a half really learning how to work and write well together.
It's still very much a work in progress.
As you can imagine, the lines between our personal and professional relationship are always crossed and sometimes we get very confused about that.
Anyway, it's nearly 2am and I'm ramblin' so what I really came here to say was.
COME TO A SHOW, WE GOTS PLENTY!!!!
